Cookie Policy
Last updated 29 July 2026. This page is maintained by ProFuturePlan (Pty) Ltd and explains how Profyn uses cookies and similar browser storage.
1. What we use
We keep this simple: Profyn uses only the storage strictly necessary to run the service, plus one preference item. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not run third-party analytics or tracking pixels.
2. What is stored
| Item | Type | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Authentication session | Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in securely between page loads. | Local storage, until you sign out or the session expires |
| Cookie consent choice | Strictly necessary | Remembers that you have seen and answered the cookie notice. | Local storage, until you clear your browser data |
| Explore Demo mode | Preference | Remembers whether you switched on sample-data mode. | Local storage, until you switch it off or clear browser data |
| PayFast checkout | Strictly necessary (third party) | Set by PayFast only when you open the hosted checkout, to process payment securely and prevent fraud. | Managed by PayFast under its privacy policy |
3. Your choices
When you first visit, a notice lets you accept all categories, keep only essential storage, or open the settings panel to choose per category. Strictly necessary storage cannot be switched off; preferences and analytics are optional and off by default.
You can change your choices at any time — reopen the panel below or use the “Cookie settings” link in the site footer.
You can also clear everything through your browser settings (delete cookies and site data for this site). Clearing it will sign you out and show the notice again.
4. Third-party storage
Payment pages are served by PayFast. PayFast sets its own strictly necessary storage during checkout — see the PayFast Privacy Policy.
5. More information
How we handle personal information generally is described in our Privacy Policy. Questions? Email privacy@profutureplan.com.
