Terms of Service
Last updated 29 July 2026. These terms form an agreement between you and ProFuturePlan (Pty) Ltd for the use of Profyn.
1. Your account
You must give accurate details when you sign up and keep your sign-in credentials confidential. You are responsible for everything done under your account and for the roles you grant to other people in your business.
2. What the service does
Profyn helps you capture, organise, match and share business financial records. It is a record-keeping and collaboration tool. It is not an accountant, auditor or tax practitioner, and nothing in the app is financial, tax or legal advice.
3. AI-assisted capture
AI extraction is a convenience feature and can make mistakes. Every extracted value is shown to you for review before it is saved, and you remain responsible for checking that saved records are correct.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, process and display your content so the service can work. You confirm you have the right to upload the documents and personal information you add.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not upload unlawful content or malware.
- Do not try to access another business's records or bypass access controls.
- Do not remove watermarks from shared documents or redistribute them without permission.
- Do not use the service to break South African financial or tax law.
6. Sharing with accountants
When you create a share link you decide what is shared and for how long. You can revoke a link at any time. You are responsible for who you send the link to.
7. Availability
We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change or suspend features, and we will give reasonable notice of material changes.
8. Pricing, subscriptions and payment terms
- Profyn offers a permanent Free plan and paid Starter and Professional subscriptions. Starter includes a 30-day free trial. Paid plans are billed monthly in South African Rand (ZAR), with applicable taxes shown at checkout.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. The subscription fee is charged to your chosen payment method on each renewal date.
- You may cancel at any time from the Billing page. Access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, unless these terms are terminated earlier for misuse or non-payment.
- Prices may change; we will give at least 30 days’ notice before a change applies to your renewals.
- If a payment fails, PayFast may retry it. Paid features may be suspended if payment is not received.
Public pricing is available on our Pricing page. Payment processing is also governed by PayFast’s legal terms.
9. Payment processing
PayFast securely processes checkout and recurring payments for paid subscriptions. ProFuturePlan (Pty) Ltd remains the seller and provider of the Profyn software service and handles subscriptions, invoices, cancellations, support and refunds.
10. Refunds
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. Full details, including how to request a refund, are in our Refund Policy.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, ProFuturePlan (Pty) Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss arising from your reliance on figures you did not verify. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including under the Consumer Protection Act.
12. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms. Where the law requires us to retain financial records, we keep them for the required period and nothing more.
13. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Questions? Email support@profutureplan.com. Our privacy practices are described in our Privacy Policy.
